Prolific striker Kagere finally leaves K’Ogalo
According to Gor, the Rwandan made high demands though sources close to the player says that he was disappointed with Kenyan league after his effort was never recognised during the SportPesa/SJAK Footballer of the Year Awards-FOYA held last month.
Kagere played an integral part in the in Gor’s unbeaten run in the league besides guiding them to a Top 8 and DStv Cup.
“We have tried our best to negotiate with Meddie, but it’s quite unfortunate we will not be able to renew his contract because we can’t meet his demands,” club chairman, Ambrose Rachier was quoted on the club website.
Kagere arrived at the club in 2015 on a one year contract.
Gor has, however signed midfielder Francis Kahata, goalkeeper Gradus Ochieng from City Stars, defender Erick Ouma from Kakamega High School and academy lad Amos Nondi, who was promoted from the youth team.
Nondi, however, boast of some league experience having spent a season on loan at Sony Sugar
